The Arena Report

Six seasons of competitive play in the heart of Melbourne

We opened NovaBattleFun in a Hardware Lane warehouse in 2019 with eight PCs and a single tournament bracket. Today we run four titles across ranked ladders, hold monthly BYOC LANs, and coach players from Bronze scrim nights all the way to national qualifiers. Every seat is a 240Hz station wired on a low-latency local network.

Results That Stuck

From scrim nights to national stages

A few of the runs that started on Hardware Lane.

Southbank Surge win the Autumn Valorant Open

A five-stack that met at a casual arena night took our 64-team bracket, upsetting two seeded rosters in the grand final.

  2. September 2023

    First sold-out Friday Night LAN

All 32 seats booked out three weeks early; we added an overflow spectator night and streamed the finals for 4,200 viewers.

  3. June 2024

    Coaching cohort hits Radiant

Nine players from our fortnightly coaching track climbed from Immortal to Radiant across a single act.

  4. February 2025

    Nova Academy qualifies for nationals

Our under-18 League of Legends squad earned a wildcard slot at the Australian schools championship after an unbeaten group stage.

What players say about game nights

The 240Hz rigs and local network are the difference. My aim consistency jumped after two weeks of ranked ladder here.

My coach broke down six of my VODs and gave me a fortnightly plan. Went from Gold 2 to Platinum 3 in a season.

Priya M.

Docklands, VIC · Reviewed Dec 2024

Friday Night LAN is the best atmosphere in Melbourne. Walk-up bracket, real prize pool, and a proper shoutcast desk.

Liam T.

Fitzroy, VIC · Reviewed Nov 2024

We booked the team bootcamp before a qualifier. The scrim blocks and mock finals settled our nerves completely.

Sofia K.

Southbank, VIC · Reviewed Oct 2024

Casual access is great value at $12 an hour, peripherals sorted, lockers included. My go-to after uni.
